To a gamer there are really two giant obstacles to leap over, one is having the money to play the games you want to play and the other is finding the time to play what you want, and sometime these problems collide and make things even more difficult. I mean if you don’t have a job you don’t have money needed to play the games but on the other hand you have a job but you’re at it so much making money you don’t have the time you want to relax and play what you want to play. Massively multiplayer online role playing games(or MMORPG), add a bigger hop in the money problem , because many of them also require a subscription fee. Now most gamers, including myself, believe that the monthly fee is worth it, because the game is constantly changing and evolving almost as much as your character is. The only problem is now your shelling out even more dough for world of warcraft. Yes WoW, world of warcraft or WOW, is the “drug” of choice for many video gamers everywhere and I mean everywhere. Having up to 10 million subscribers this game is huge. Now, how does one who obliviously through no fault of their own gotten hooked to WoW deal with the two big problems? Well, I believe to every evil there is a good, or to every negative there is a positive, and that positive it forms of money and play time are just that money and play time. Making money from the gold you earn in the game.... Continue Reading
Studies show that approximately 60% of all WoW fans above the age of 21 are highly attuned to gambling or have gambled in an online casino during their off WoW time. Do you happen to be one of them? Based on the guild I’m in that I’ve asked, I know approximately 30% of them has gambled online in the past. Due to the recent bannings of many USA online casinos, many players have resorted to World of Warcraft as 1 of their solutions.... Continue Reading

The Warrior has been one of the most boring classes to play since the release of mmorpgs, but not in WoW. The warrior has been given special ability making them just as fun as any other class. The warrior has been given three different stances, one for both offense and defensive abilities. A defensive stance if you are acting as the main tank, you will aborb more damage. The third stance will reduce your damage absorbtion but also allow you to do much heavier damage than normal. The warrior now has a red bar for rage, it acts similar to how casters have mana. The difference is that a warrior gets his rage in combat from either dealing damage or receiving damage. As the rage grows, you will be permitted to use different abilities.... Continue Reading
The Warlock is by far one of the most difficult classes to play. They require much practice and skills. The warlock has 3 pets, a few nice direct damage spells and a reagent component requirement for other spells. The Imp is the warlock’s first pet, which servers as a ranged damage dealer. It also has some nice buffs which is ideally used for groups. The second pet, the Voidwalker is a tank which is ideally used for soloing. Like any other tank, they normally do less damage but can take alot more hits. The last pet is the Succubus, it deals the most damage but has the least life. It also has some good crowd control spells. While mastering the use of these 3 pets, the warlock also has spells of his own. Majority of their great spells are DOTs (damage over time). They do not have any instant damage spells making them one of the weakest classes. If you use their DOTs effeciently they are just as deadly as the mage. Again, it requires alot of practice to master playing a warlock.... Continue Reading
The Shaman is a very versatile class to play. The shaman is a combination of a fighter, caster, healer and a buffer. They are well loved by groups just like healers. Their for elemental totems, air, earth, fire and water are the most important part of the shaman. The most unfortunate part is that the shaman are only permitted to use one of these four elements at a time, deciding which totem to use is the most difficult part of playing a shaman. They are able to wear mail and bucklers, not as defensive as a pally but more defensive than a mage. Unforunately they do not do as much damage as a mage. Shamans are also known as the jack of all trades, enabling them to run many different tasks in a group and even in solo combats.... Continue Reading
The Rogue is a melee fighter that has many many great abilities. They are the more offensive fighters, somewhat the opposites of a warrior and paladin. The rogue is very similar to the stealther classes of DAoC. They are able to camaflouge/stealth into the land and sneak up on enemies. They are given the opportunity to strike first and deal extremely high opening damages. A Rogue is a very hard class to play, their maximum effectiveness all depends on how well you can control their abilities and combos. Playing a rogue takes extensive practice and patience. They are a very rewarding class to play over time. The rogue uses their energy bar and combo points to initiate their abilities. Along side with their great combat abilities, they can pickpocket and open locked chests.... Continue Reading
The Priest is the healer of the game and the most demanded class of any group. They are the most essential class and every group needs at least one to heal, buff and resurrect players. They are required to keep the group alive and reduce and downtime from any damages from enemies. They play a very important role in a group as their job is to keep everyone alive and killing. There are other support classes such as the druid and shaman but none can compare to the spells a priest can cast. Holy Word would be one of their best, it instantly covers a player with a shield that absorbs an X amount of damage. Along with the great support they offer to groups, they are able to solo with their Shadow Magic spells. They are able to tame monsters at higher level which can help them solo.... Continue Reading
The Paladin a melee warrior and a secondary spell caster/healer. They are able to resurrect the dead and heal alliance characters. Paladins are even able to wear plate armors making them one of the most defensive classes in the game. The Paladins strategy in World of Warcraft is to support the priest and warrior with tanking and healing. They are able to guide and tank for their party just as well as a warrior. The Paladin’s build is very similar to Blizzard’s older game Diablo 2 and Mythic’s Dark Age of Camelot with the idea of Auras. Auras are unique spells, when cast it stays in effect but only one at a time. Paladins are given three types of Auras. Devotion Aura which increases your party members armor, Healing aura, which can only be used outside of combat and Retribution which causes damage to any monster that hits a member of your party. Along with their skill in use of Auras, they can also cast Seals. Seals are a short term buff but only one allowed at a time. Very similar to how Auras work. One of the most power spells of the Paladin is the Divine Shield which protects the Paladin from all attacks and spells for a short period of time but reduces their attack speed. Seals can be combined with Auras allowing them to have great defense in every aspect. The Paladins talent tree is Holy, Protection, and Retribution. With all these tools, the Paladin is a versatile character with the talent of a warrior, spellcaster, and healer that every player would quest or pvp with in World of Warcraft.... Continue Reading
